Kilimanjaro, they redefine what it means to be a South Asian woman taking on such a formidable
challenge, showcasing their determination and spirit in a field where they are rarely seen.

To coincide with South Asian Heritage Month, ‘Mother Kili’ will have special premiere screening in
London. This event aims to celebrate the rich cultural heritage and the indomitable spirit of South
Asian women, highlighting their contributions and achievements.

Rupinder Kaur, Founder of Asian Women MEAN Business who arranged the expedition, said, “This
journey has been a transformative experience for all of us. It’s about showing the world that South
Asian women are capable of incredible feats. Our aim was to inspire others to dream big and break
the barriers that society often imposes. ‘Mother Kili’ is a celebration of our shared strength and
resilience.”

About the Documentary: ‘Mother Kili’ is directed by Rehmat Rayatt & Daisy Gaston and produced by Blue Fox Media. Crowdfunded to £80,000 by supportive community members who saw the need for this representation, the film is a celebration of diversity, strength, and the unyielding spirit of
women who dare to dream big and achieve the impossible.
